For a few years I’ve been looking in the DVD aisles for a copy of A Very Peculiar Practice. For years it has been a waste of my time – because the BBC has not seen fit to release it. Until now – way hey!
It was a wonderfully clever drama and amazingly sharp black satire with surreal elements that would have be more at home in Twin Peaks and yet it was set in a UK campus university medical centre.
The writer, Andrew Davies, went on to pen screenplays for the classic BBC drama Pride and Prejudice as well as films such as Bridgette Jones.
Put in an advance order…..... Only hope Splash DVD service is good, as the price there was fantastic
