Never take life too seriously. The Voluntary Human Extinction Movement know that “we’ll never see the day there are no human beings on the planet”. LOL.
My car is needing its MOT in the next couple of weeks – I’m hoping it will survive another year, couldn’t make do with public transport up here. One thing I really liked about London is you can get anywhere with public transport. It’s far from perfect, but it wasn’t destroyed by privatisation, unlike some areas. It’s not that I miss crowded commute by tube in the mornings, but journeys can be covered in much the same time without a car. Well maybe not the same, but at least they are possible and not a factor of ten times longer.
Though what would I know, it’s almost a decade since I lived in London. Last time I was visiting, I was amazed using the Northern Line to find that they no longer have the wooden panelled trains with a guard operating the doors from the back carriage of the train.
