I bought some contact lenses today. On getting a new pair of specs I took up SpecSavers trial offer and decided to give lenses a try.
In the past I had heard tales of how they can damage the cornea but was assured that modern lenses don’t have any such problems. Besides I don’t expect that I’ll wear them that often anyway.
My lens prescription is -1.75{R} -1.5{L} where the glasses IIRC are a quarter dioptre more with half a dioptre cylinder correction. Or something like that.
Have problems putting the things in still. Not so much with poking at my eyeball – just fiddling with the wafer thin bit of transparent plastic. Then getting the things out – think I was trying to pluck out my cornea for five minutes this evening before realising I had already removed the lens.
