Not having any sort of religious upbringing has left me with nothing to rebel against in that sphere. At the same time I’m free to adopt elements from any practice – if they are practical.
When it comes to Lent, I sometimes find it a good time to give something up. Not for any personal belief – merely because it is convenient. And when you look at the nature of the timing – spring time is a good chance for a fresh start and spring clean.
I used to be a skinny thing. Until a few years ago. now I’ve been getting plumper and rounder. So this year I’ve decided to give up chocolate for Lent – maybe try to lose some weight as well.
In much the same way as I’ve recorded my opticians prescription as a reference for myself, I note my weight at 79Kg. But before becoming more Bridget Jones will now see fit to draw the topic to a close.
Proving that at least one of my resolution style ideas doesn’t go out the window before the year was much more than a monthy old, I’m going to see if there is tuition suitable from Wirral School of Music, this weekend. Learning the clarinet properly.
