Evidence of change

Gavin, 17 September 05

Having decided that now was the time for a change in direction in life to some extent or other, I now have to take the time to contemplate, consider and conclude what I want the future to hold for me. Then it is a case of being as pro-active as I can be, and making it happen. I’ll be 34 years old young within a month and really look to match my aims and aspirations with my day to day living more than I have recently done.

It is always easy to stay in a comfort zone and stick with what you know. Despite what the sparrow might tell you finally, without taking a grasp of life, taking risks where necessary – you can be sure it’ll be the same old same old shit.

I still find it pleasing that when surveys classify respondents in 20-35 36-50 51-65 age groups or similar. It lets me feel still part of the younger adult group, with potentials to still have most of the opportunities that were available over a decade ago. This may not be the case with regards to everything, in fact probably I’m just deluding myself with wishful thinking. A good number of people seem to fit the marketeers model now though and only settle finally at a later age than was common decades ago.
