I’ve been doing a 90 minute daily commute to Manchester for the last couple of weeks and am looking to make a move there in the near future. With Alabama 3 and the Gogols playing there soon it promises better entertainment than the Wirral for sure.
Next week the entertainment in Manchester starts in a big style with the Labour party circus arriving in town. TB will host his last Big Top and next year there’ll be a new ring master. Whoever takes on the top job, there are a few MPs in Labour’s ranks that fancy the perks of the deputy’s job.
Never one to miss out, Harriet Harman has thrown her hat in the ring. In a hilarious justification – she reminds folks that she was there with Tony and Gordon in the 1990s when things were tough for Labour.
Tough times… like the furore over education when a member of the shadow cabinet chose to send her kids to a selective school.
Tough times… like the battle for Jennifer’s ear – where a health spokesperson managed to spin an own goal on NHS waiting lists, heralding defeat in the 1992 election.
A vote for Harriet Harman, a vote for tough times – does have a certain ring to it.
