The beeb had some sensational news today. They reported the staggering finding that 46% of NHS mental health service providers were below average.
Fortunately the online coverage of the story is certainly more careful with the bandying of statistics, often wont to show up journalistic failings.
Expect more of the same soon when the scorecard for other Trusts gets released in the annual health check. Journalistic sensationalism mixed with the new way the Healthcare Commission report these things – it is bound to be fun…
