Took a fair bit longer to get home than it did to travel down there. Hit Birmingham around five when traffic was heavy, my petrol warning light was flickering although the needle wasn’t quite on the red. Meant I took a detour into Brum to fill the tank because the traffic was so bad on the motorway it could have taken half an hour to make the next service station and didn’t fancy breaking down on the M6.
Interview was interesting. I hadn’t really prepared as much as I could have, not having been to any interviews in over two years – I hadn’t even spent time to think about answers to the standard ‘what are your strengths/weaknesses’ or ‘where do you see yourself in five years time’ questions. I quite enjoyed everything at the end of the day. Saying that, I hated the whole day (travel and interview) for my current job – and over the past couple of years the place has been wonderful.
