Strange this year. First I became a bit of a tennis fan and now the cricket is keeping my interest. I’ve never been the slightest bit interested in either sport until this year.
I guess the weekend I decided to give the cricket a look was quite lucky as it was hailed as one of the best tests of modern times – with things getting down to 2 runs between the Aussies and England team. Without watching before, I’d never understood that there were tactics down to fielder configuration.
It’s really a tactical sport with a great deal of skill and the Edgbaston test showed it can reach highly charged and exciting finishes.
